"We just sat on the floor and listened to our Prisoner"

Ella started Kindergarten yesterday. Wow. School. Real school. 8am-3:30pm. SCHOOL. When she got home, she talked nonstop about it. When she mentioned she went to the gym and I asked her what she did there, that's where I got the phrase in the title. I guess "principal" is a new word for her!

Here is a picture of her before we left ...

Can you tell she's my child? Never in a million years would you know that, eh?

Here is her waiting for class to start ...

Allie is staying home with me without her sister. It's going to be fun watching her develop her own little personality sans Ella. We haven't gotten anything going on yet, but lots of things are in the works. Today, even though boring, she was quite happy (although undone) ...

Karl is SEVEN months old now! Yay! He's still not doing much in the case of physical milestones, but that's a-okay with me. I figure it's due to me not putting him on his belly for tummy time, but I never did that with the girls and I think they both were crawling by seven months. ~Shrug~. Of course I WANT him to be achieving things in leaps and bounds, but what can you do? I still love my funny little man. He ~loves~ his bouncy saucer thing-a-majig. I barely can get him to stop moving to take a quick picture ...

He's about 14 lbs now I'm assuming. I should do the official "bathroom scale method" and check on my estimations. And here is a picture of the back of his head. I don't know what it is, but I freaking LOVE the view of him while he's sitting on my lap. The back of my kids' giant noggins just make me smile. Maybe it's because they are bald. Maybe it's because their heads are huge. I don't know. But I freaking LOVE it. (please ignore the subway wrappers. I was hungry!) ...

Heh. Maybe it's something just their own mother could love!

Go Ella! she looks like such a good little student! And Allie's grin is so freaking adorable & contagious!
You know I think you make some pretty good looking kids- Karl is as always very huggable!

I happen to love the view of Caiden as she looks up from tummy time, especially now that she rolls herself over to sleep- when she wakes up & looks up it's like a whole new side of her!

Soon Ella will realize that she's the prisoner! OK, maybe not - I liked school (and yes, I am a dork).

Allie will probably be missing her big sister. She's adorable - as is Karl! Even the back of his head!

I L-O-V-E the back of babies heads. There is that little kiss spot at the bottom that is so irresistible.
Love the pictures, I was needing a fix of your kids. =D

Craziness that our babies are going to real school this year! Emma starts on Monday, she's so excited.

Hope you are enjoying your time "off"!

You must be so proud of Ella..! How awesome.

You know, you have said how touchy Allie is if you ask Ella to bring you for a diaper or something instead of her. Maybe her getting some one on one time with you will be good for her.

Karl is such a cutie pie.

Oy, kindergarten already?! Aidan goes to preschool on the 1st and I'm already stressing about 'real' school.

Karl is such a cutie!

It's more like the kids are the prisoners right? lol Wow...KG already!

I took a picture of the back of my DD's head when she was about that age and I thought I was weird. I don't feel so bad now since at least I'm not weird alone. :)

Your girls are gorgeous and Karl is the cutest little guy. I love Ella's description of what they did during the day.

Too cute, all of them! Glad Ella's first day was so great!

I think it's because he's a cute, little bald boy. I loved looking at Andrew from behind too! So cute!

PS, Andrew crawled RIGHT AT 8 months and he's been a fabulous runner (super, super fast) for about 7 months now!

Yay for Ella starting school--man, you guys start early (here it's the Tuesday after Labor Day!).

Ella has your attitude & looks. I can't believe how much Karl is looking like you too! Allie a cutie! I'm sure she'll love getting some time to become herself. (haha, spoken by a middle child & i was also the one who looks like my dad instead of mom!)

Your kids are all three so cute!! And kindergarten, wow - what a milestone! The kiddos are rockers, that's for sure.

Speaking of - where do you get cute/original clothes for Karl? I like the higher quality stuff I've found at Baby Gap and Gymboree (even better when I can catch a sale) but I wanted to find our boy some out-of-the-ordinary stuff.

How cute are they??? Nancy I've missed you!! She is undoubtedly yours -- and Karl? My goodness what an adorable baby he is.

I love excitement about school -- that's such a gift -- I hope she continues to love it -- and I'm thinking of you!

XOXOXO

& Karl & W have twin bald heads.

woo hoo! big girl school! with the prisoner!

Karl's lacking of crawling is no big deal. The studies would predict he'll catch up and could even skip ahead to walking if so motivated. Every baby has his/her own schedule.

I can't believe school has started already!?! Miss O. doesn't report to kindergarten for another 3 weeks.

And I'm petrified.
