Karl is starting to cruise around the furniture. Not much yet, but he'll take some small sideways steps before sitting down and crawling to where he wants to go. My guess is he'll be walking by the 1 year mark. He'll be 10 months old next Tuesday, so he's got 2 months to learn it. And he seems to be on the same time frame both girls were on.
I can already see one major difference between him and his sisters. This boy is a climber. I ~have~ to strap him the grocery cart when we go shopping because if he can stand up, he will. I have images of him falling out of the cart when my back is turned for 2 seconds.
I wonder if this is a difference between boys and girls or just the normal differences between babies. Only time will tell.

Climbers...such fine. B is also a climber. She could scale out of her crib by 13 months and could climb a baby gate not too long after that. Containing climbers is hard! ;) Have fun!
I love the updated header.
Sam is just now starting to cruise around a bit. But he is crawling at rapid paces and climbing too. He crawled out of his bouncy seat the other morning while I was in the shower. It's hard to keep him confined these days.
I was so lucky that my girl is not a climber - we just took the front of her crib off - she only tried to climb out once in the 3 years she slept there. She got scared that time and never tried again.
Good luck with your crawling, climbing cruiser! He'll be walking before you know it.
All my boys climb but, oddly enough, none of them ever climbed out of the crib.
My boy was a climber too. They're tough when they can climb, it's just impossible to keep them out of anything. He was in a toddler bed just after he turned one because the side of the crib became a hazard quickly.
Keelin is going to be a climber. She already stands herself up in her stroler and atemps to climb over the couch and off our bed
Jillian is such a climber. Same thing with the shopping cart and even when she is strapped in she somehow can find a way to stand up. She can almost climb out of the bathtub even. It's hard to keep up with.
Cruising already...you are in trouble!
First of all, I LOVE the new header picture of all 3 kids! Sooo cute! :)
Mason is the same way as Karl...he clims on everything!
They are going to get into so much trouble together! Caiden's a climber too. She'll cruise a few steps- but we're always right there with a hand out since she's totally unsteady! She still doesn't like to crawl belly up- although she lifts the belly off the ground all the time! I hope Karl can teach her how its done- I would like for her to crawl before figuring out how to walk!
Zilla was and is a climber! Nae is the exact opposite. Maybe try strapping him down to the floor ;o)
*HUGS*
Lilian is the same way with the grocery cart. I never used to strap her in, but just the other day, I looked to the side (i had my hands on the cart, never let go.) and all of a sudden I feel two little hands on my sholders, Lilian was standing in the cart. Scared the crap outta me. She is a climber.....on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. I am waiting for her to climb outta her crib.
Molly Kate is a climber too! Anniston NEVER climbed, still doesn't. She is crawling up the stairs. She learned how to get off the bed properly already! I am not sure to this. She is my explorer.
My girl is much more a climber than my boy, so it's just the difference in babies. Be ready to chase him a lot! :)
TTG is a HUGE climber. TBB wasn't really, but is now. TTG was cruising pretty early but still not really walking beyond a couple of steps at 15 months.
Theres is a difference. In my Early childhood educatin classes they taught us :that: boys build with block tall and girls build flat and wide. Its the way our brains are wired differently.
Oh Nancy. You are in for some fun "boy" surprises. Once my boys started moving...they never stopped! The are completely exhausting. I see these sweet quiet little girls and try not to be too jealous.
