family of five = endless loads of laundry.

I just don't understand why I have so much laundry to do. It's literally NEVER all done. How can a family of five make so many loads of dirty clothes? I mean, kids clothes are TINY. Shouldn't that mean their loads should be smaller too?

ugh.

I'm about to fold the upteenth load and there is still more to do. It never ends.

Dude, I was just doing laundry and thinking the same EXACT thing right before I got on here and saw your post. Crazy! I feel sorry for you because it's horrible here with only 3 people's clothes piled up..and you have 5!! Yikes!

I feel like I'm always doing laundry but my issue stems from not getting it all done at one time. I'll wash a load and let it sit in the dryer for forever.

There have been nights when I literally stripped and threw my clothes in with the last load so I could say (at least for about 8 hours) that all the clothes were clean.

I had the same thought when packing suitcases for the kids. How do tiny clothes take up so much space?

I can imagine! I am still shocked over how much laundry one little person can go through alone. It is a good thing his clothes are so tiny and cute and fun to fold.

I totally hear you! The kids clothes may be small but they dirty through them a lot faster. Hopefully your girls aren't the type that like to wear many different outfits every day... my sister used to be like that. My Mom was always doing laundry and she only had two kids!

I hear you!! It's never done. My oldest used to change her outfit 3-4 times a day, I finally made a rule that she could change her dress up clothes as much as she wanted but she had to pick 1 outfit to wear for the day. Even with that I wash at least one load a day. Then I add the diapers in to that, of course that's all my fault I didn't have to switch to cloth.

I only do laundry on weekends (usually) and it's frustrating because the loads sit in the baskets until I fold them. I can't do it when Andrew is awake because he climbs on top of my piles and knocks them over. It's like he can't resist. He doesn't go to bed until 10:00/10:30 p.m., and usually I am too tired to fold them then. So, they wait. Eventually, I just fold them when he's awake, telling him constantly to get off my piles... :)

I have washed 4 loads today already and it's only 11am. I still have 3 to go.

Six people, and one laundry-doer. It keeps me very busy. I get all the laundry done and put away, and by that time there are 3 more loads in the hamper. It bites.

Actually, I LOVE to wash clothes and fold them. I just hate putting them away. I used to put them in the basket and whenever I got to it, I got to it. But now, if I don't put them up right away, there is this little tiny munchkin that climbs over them and throws them everywhere.
