The Wiggles!

My girls love the Wiggles. Ella not so much anymore, but Allison is still enthralled.

A year ago, I grudgingly got tickets for the family to attend a Wiggles concert. The girls had obviously never been to a show before, so I didn't know how they'd react. It was great. And I gotta tell you, I actually had fun! It definitely surprised me, but I knew all the songs and while not my cup of tea, it wasn't all that bad. (They did serve beer, so maybe that added a teensy bit to my enjoyment). The girls, on the other hand, had nothing but fun. They even cried when the Wiggles had to go home.

I recently saw they were coming again in April. Tickets had already gone on sale so the seat selection wasn't that great - up in the side stands where we had sat before. I really wanted to get seats on the floor because it gave room for the kids to dance, which is what my girls really wanted to do.

I went to ebay and people were already selling tickets, but only in sets of 3. Dang it, I needed 4! But then a day or so later, a set of 4 went on sale. Front Row. Floor. Auction started for price paid. And I waited until the end and bid. And I got them! And I am tickled pink right now. It makes me laugh that me, the ex-punk rock girl turned mommy is excited to go see the wiggles.

But what can I say? I'm genuinely ~thrilled~. The girls are going to have so much fun.

We are going again in March. It will be the 3rd year that they have come just before Lex's b-day. We had awesome seats last year but I screwed up this year and got not so great. Oh well.

I think this will probably be the last year they are both excited about going.

When you start to feel bad/odd about going to the show, remember that they started with over 1/2 of them in a hard rock band that helped a friend out with a college project and 20+ years later they are Australia's highest paid performers.

It's awesome...Nancy...we sound so much alike. I am a total punk/old school alternative chick, and last August I sat in floor seats with my oldest 2 and danced to the Wiggles. We even got to walk up to the stage at the end. Holy cow, it was an awesome show, and my girl's had so much fun! We have amazing pictures and memories!
p.s. My Ipod has the same stuff you listened to egting your accupuncture. : )

Awww you are so lucky. We missed it when they came here. It was one night only and it was at 6:30 at night. A little to late for us. I have to watch again for when they are in our area. Peyton is starting to enjoy watching them too. That is awesome that you got such great seats. Make sure you take roses for Dorothy and bones for Wags. ;)

My wife and I took our daughter yesterday to see them and it was actually pretty good.

They did some little riff's inbetween songs, like "My Sharona" and "Can't Touch This". Of course the kids didn't get it, but the parents did.

Out of all the kids concerts we've been too, I wouldn't mind seeing them again too.
Next time we'll have my daughter take a rose for Dorothy.
