Summer suns is lame.
The sun doesn't "go nigh-nigh" until 8pm right now. And that has always been the queue to put Allie to bed. 7:30 and she's in bed, asleep within 10 minutes. As soon as Allie is sleeping, Ella follows.
They sleep together in a bunk bed, so I stagger them. I don't have to, but if I put them to bed at the sametime, giggling ensues.
Now I'm not getting Allie into bed until 815pm. And Ella 830ish. Terrible. I'm a terrible mother.
What times do your kids go to bed? (only if they are over a year old!). And how old are they?

Mine goes to bed at 930 but I'm a student and he doesn't have to go to his part time school until 9am. It's all about to change though cause I am getting a J-O-B and then I imagine he will go to bed around 830. On the weekends we let him stay up pretty late though. He will be three in July.
DD goes to bed between 8-9pm. Usually about 830. She sleeps until 8-9am. Usually closer to 9. She will be 3 in July
DS goes to bed between 9-10. Usually closer to 930. He sleeps until 9-930am. He is 4.

I used to put DS (2 1/2) to bed at 7ish and sometimes he'd fall asleep right away and other times he'd be up until 10! So one night I decided to let him stay up until 8 and he went to sleep right away and slept on hour later in the morning! I felt guilty at first, like it was too late but he's in a much better mood during the day now. Dont feel like a bad mom, as long as she's not a bear during the day, than why should it matter?
Both of my boys go to bed between 7:30-8 every night. They also both wake up between 6:45-7:15 regrardless of when they go to bed, so I feel the same as you. They need thier sleep. Luckily the sun doesnt really affect when they go to bed. They share a room and go to bed at the same time. Usually there is some talking but I love listening to it and it never lasts more than ten minutes. My boys are 1.5 and 2.5.
DD #1 will be 4 in july and she goes to bed 730 - 8 and usually sleeps until 7. DD #2 is 2.5 and she follows the same schedule. i should try staggering though because they are also in bunk beds and when they go to bed together, i usually spend 30 mins seperating them and putting them back in their beds.
Matthew is almost 2.5 and he goes to bed around 8, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. He sleeps until anywhere from 7-8 then, and doesn't seem to matter what time he has gone to bed. I know you said if they are over 1, but Scarlett is 10 months & I nurse her as soon as Matthew is in bed, then she is in bed too. She's usually awake around 6:30 though. I can't imagine having giggling girls in the same bedroom!
My kids go to bed between 6:30-7 at night. They usually go to sleep pretty quckly and they do nap during the day also. They wake up around 6 every morning no matter what though so the early bedtime is essential.
They are 2 1/2 and almost 4!
Thankfully I have black out blinds in both of their rooms though, that is a big help.
