Big sisters in training.

I wonder how Allison will do being a big sister and not the baby anymore. She's the super jealous one - I can barely give Ella a second of my time before she's running up to me screaming "my turn! my turn!".

Hopefully she'll grow out of it in another 8 months. While I love all my children, the new baby is going to need some attention!

I think they'll do just fine! I would imagine there will be the occasional, "Sweetie can you grab me a diaper?" I'm sure they'll embrace their role of big sisterhood like champs, after they get over the expected initial jealousy. I know I was a little brat when my sister was born (I'm the oldest and she and I are 20 months apart).

There's no question that this baby will be loved! There probably will be some initial jealousy, but I'm sure that things will be okay. They are going to be great big sisters!!!!!! Congratulations Nancy, Ella, Allison, and Tom!!!!

They'll figure it out, you'll figure it out, the baby will figure it out. Like pp said, there will likely be some initial jealousy, but I'm sure both girls will love to "help" Mommy with the baby.

There will definitely be rough moments, but at least they have each other to play with, while your attention is on the new baby. I'm sure you'll all do just fine :)

I am sure she will do fine. I bet she will be like a little mommy to him/her. Carter was a little jealous at first, but we just kept explaining that the baby needed mommy more right now. He was more upset because I couldn't pick him up for awhile (had a c-section). I just kept him really involved asking if he could get me diapers and burp cloths. HE really liked being mommy's little helper. Now that Peyton is interacting more with him he loves having a brother.

Oohhh, good luck with that. My bff has 2 (6 and 7) and they are CONSTANTLY vying for attention. And she can NEVER do anything with one (scratch a back, give a kiss, give a hug) that the other isn't right there saying, "Now do me".
They have taken to doing the same thing to me and my hubby - sometimes its cute but other times...ARGH! just frustrating.
