Ella can almost read. When we take the time and sound it out, she can do it.
Ella can be a ridiculous smart ass. I hate it and totally love it.
Allie can do her hair by herself.
Allie can be the biggest asshole to her sister (thinking it's middle child syndrome.)
Karl can sleep through the night (YAY!!!) He doesn't do it every night, but he has.
Karl can hold a toy in his hand and play with it. Cool.

Wow! That is awesome that Ella can almost read and Allie can do her own hair! It's always wonderful when babies sleep through the night, isn't it?!?!
This is super cute. They are growing up fast, aren't they?
As a middle child, I had to cringe at the "middle child syndrome" observance. Any time I was jealous or PMS'y or cranky towards my sisters it was always written off as "middle child syndrome."
I actually think my MIL had a good idea - her eldest 2 were twins and she told everyone (literally everyone) that they were the same age and that at her c-section there were 2 doctors that each grabbed 2 ankles and pulled at the same time. She refused to tell anyone who was "older" because she didn't want the other one to be labeled the "middle child syndrome" kid. They didn't know until they were 18 who was older!

I'm all excited that Aidan can get dressed by himself most days. It saves me so much time in the morning before he goes to preschool.
Yay for Karl! Sam has been holding on to things for a few weeks and it is so funny to watch how he concentrates so hard on it.

That is awesome! Cassandra is just like Ella...a huge smartass. Does she end up reminding you of yourself sometimes? (not saying you're a smartass) Cassandra reminds me a LOT!
I am still shocked that Allie can do her own hair...that is just fabulous! I wish Cassandra would....she's always bugging me to put curlers in her hair to get it curly.
Karl is just a doll. Glad to hear you're getting some nights thru.

NEW middle child syndrome is what I really mean. Jealousy over the new baby.
Pre-parenthood I never knew how exciting it would be when a baby first holds an item!

they are so big & grownup! i can't believe Allie does her own hair at 3-1/2! & Karl is awesome for sleeping through the night! woo-hoo! (hope it happens more & more consistently for you!)
Way to go Ella! I don't have a middle child, but Nae LOVES to be an asshole to her brother. Sleep through the night some more, Karl!
