I was asked if my children were biological.

I don't know why I was asked it. Did they not look like me? Did they look too close in age to be born from one mother's womb? Was she asking if I had them through ART? (although I guess that would still be biological).

I've just never been asked that one before and it took me by surprise!

That is an odd question to be asked. I know moms who adopted their children thru China you don't like to be asked about it. But I do have a question - how often are you asked if they are twins? For me its at least once a week. Now instead of twins I am asked if they are identical or fraternal. Seriously?, one is 6 inches shorter.

All the time. It's amazing how people can think children at this age are twins. Um, NO.

wow. Ella is a mini-nancy. I don't see how the question would be considered, much less considered appropriate. and twins. even in pictures you can tell that they certainly aren't! people are dumb sometimes ;o)

my son is blonde and i have brown hair and my girlfriend is blonde and her step-baby has brown hair so people are always thinking my kid is hers and hers is mine. It irks the shit out of me.

I get asked the twin question all the time. Mine are 14 months apart and pretty much the same size, I think there might be an inch difference in height and the baby actually weighs more than her older sister.

ahhh, the things people say. some should really learn to keep their mouths shut!

It's quite a rude comment actually. And odd as they look so much alike and so so much like you!

Umm, Ella looks exactly like you and Allison looks a whole lot like Tom. Seems like a crazy (and not to mention rude) question to me.

OKay, my parents didn't even get asked that and I looked nothing like them. That question is also incredible rude, too.

My sister and I still get asked if we're twins; we're 6 years apart. My sister and I were with my mom in the store one time and someone my mom knew saw us and knew my sister was her daughter but asked if I was my sister's cousin. I look ~exactly~ like my mom, more then my sister.

What a dumb question though, Ella looks exactly like you! People are just stupid.
