When your daughter(s) pretend play, do they use a play voice too?
Both my girls use this pretend voice that is something like 187 octaves higher than their normal voice. It was Ella who used it first, so I don't know if Allie just picked it up from her, or if it's a normal girl thing to do.
Holy crap it's annoying. That voice is just ~so~ high. Wondering if I'm the only one who gets to enjoy it.

My mom's day care girls used to do it so I think it's common but very annoying
Ooh Boy! Something to look forward to! My daughter is only 2, so her play voice is a whisper. I like it that way, but I think it will increase in volume (and probably pitch, if your guess is correct). My sister uses that voice all the time - it's her let's get excited about something voice. She's forty-freaking-seven.
Yes, especially when they are talking to babies! I'm surprised they don't scare the pooor thigns lol!
ha, I still use that annoying high pitch voice now. Drives Josh insane!
LOL too funny. My mom uses that voice a lot when she talks to babies or little kids.
Raegan will sometimes use that high pitch pretend voice when she is playing and talking to the baby! yes, I do not enjoy it!!! It leads to the baby start squealing!!!
ha ha ha. Well, I don't have any little girls. But, my little girls like to use the high pitched granny voice all the time. lol
My girls are loud. There is tons of high-pitched squealing and screaming, especially when they are all sugared up, lol. All in good fun...I lerned how to tune it out completely!! iPODs work well for that, too : )
Haha--that's funny! I have heard of this. I blame those annoying voices on cartoons.
I don't notice it so much with Lauren, I think she just uses her normal voice. But when Owen is playing with his action figures his voice goes down so low he's practically growling.
